    Honda Odyssey

    16th September 2011

Honda Odyssey gets a new powerful body, which tries to inject some spice into the minivan formula. As should be any good minivan, the 2011 Odyssey is essentially still a big box on wheels. But Honda has a new shell designed to prevent people who recognize the utility benefits of an MPV appeal, but reject the image of minivans. Honda calls these people “hesitate” and hopes that the 2011 Odyssey minivan’s sleek new look makes the property are comfortable for them. The windscreen pillars again an aerodynamic nose shape are raked to create fender flair, a wide track, and the rear roof line of candles in violation of the Treaty minivan. Honda designers say minivans look generic drugs, which most of the side view.

To the exception of Odyssey 2011, the line that her abdomen of the glass “greenhouse separates nod.” Occurring side directly behind the sliding window, the buckling creates what the designers call a “lightning belt.” More than just a visual flourish, they say even the folding of the rear side windows and improves the view for the third-row passengers in Odyssey’s Seat. Honda also says there is more room for passengers in the third series, although the tapered roofline.

The Odyssey 2011, changed the dimensions only slightly: it is to lose about one centimeter in length, 1.4 inches in width profit, and loses about half a centimeter high. Wheelbase remains at 118.1 cm. Wheelbase is the distance between the front and rear axle and the key to how to spend a lot of space on a vehicle passenger compartment. Odyssey’s wheelbase is actually slightly shorter than those of its main competitors, the Sienna and the Dodge Grand Caravan and its corporate cousin, the Chrysler Town & Country.

The 2011 Honda Odyssey will continue with a V-6 engine, while the final specifications were not released in time for this report. Sources say, however, that the 2011 model, the same basic 3.5-liter V-6 have that served in the outgoing Honda Odyssey than in other programs, such as the Pilot SUV use. Will return around 250 hp and torque around 245 pounds-feet (think of the force, torque, how you feel when you accelerate and horsepower than the energy that your momentum will be maintained).
